Subscribe to v2.0.1

Subscribe to Download is a WordPress plugin that locks file downloads behind an email subscription form. It solves the problem of public PDF, zip, audio, or template links getting shared without giving you anything in return. Instead of pasting direct links or coding custom gated pages, you place a form that collects the email, sends the file, and stores the subscriber for future marketing.

Bloggers, designers, digital sellers, and niche site owners can use it to offer eBooks, checklists, audio packs, and design templates as list building freebies. You can create a separate form for each download, show it inline or as a delayed popup, and push new contacts directly to Mailchimp or Constant Contact. Day to day, you will customize the email message, preview forms in the backend, track download status, and export subscribers as CSV for backup.

For learning and testing, install Subscribe to Download on a local staging site to check form styling, Ajax submission, email delivery with download links, link expiry, and IP verification before going live. This lets you test Mailchimp sync and CSV export without risking lost leads or broken downloads on a client site. For live list building with reliable delivery, purchasing an official license is the best option.
