FacetWP User Post Type Addon v0.7.3

FacetWP User Post Type Addon extends FacetWP by turning WordPress users into filterable content just like posts or products. FacetWP alone cannot index user accounts, which forces developers to write custom queries for directories. Once activated, it registers a virtual user post type that the indexer can read. You can then reuse familiar facets instead of managing messy code or installing a separate directory system.

You can build searchable team directories, instructor listings, membership directories, vendor profiles for marketplaces, and community member finders with cards showing avatars and bios. Map user meta from ACF or Meta Box such as city, department, skills, languages, or experience level to checkboxes, dropdowns, sliders, autocomplete, or proximity facets. It also works with Elementor, Beaver Builder, and Bricks templates, plus role based filtering for membership sites that need to hide admins.

FacetWP User Post Type Addon Key Features

• Virtual User Post Type: Registers a facetwp_users pseudo post type that mirrors user accounts for FacetWP indexing.
• User Meta Indexing: Indexes standard fields and custom meta for city, skills, department, languages, or experience level.
• ACF and Meta Box Support: Reads custom user fields created with ACF, Meta Box, or similar field plugins.
• All Facet Types Supported: Works with checkboxes, radio buttons, dropdowns, sliders, date ranges, and autocomplete.
• Proximity Filtering: Enables location based member search using FacetWP map and proximity facets.
• Role Based Control: Limits indexed users by role so you can show only selected members and hide admins.
• Native Indexing Engine: Hooks into FacetWP reindexing, caching, and AJAX refresh for fast front end filtering.
• Scalable Query Handling: Avoids slow custom WP_User_Query code when filtering thousands of user records.
• Builder Ready Templates: Displays user cards, avatars, and bios with Elementor, Beaver Builder, Bricks, or standard loops.
• Membership Compatibility: Works alongside popular membership and community plugins without exposing private accounts.

Download Latest GPL Version of FacetWP User Post Type Addon

Use the GPL package to test user directory filtering in a staging or local install before touching a live membership site. Check how user meta, role limits, and facets for location or skills index and display in your builder template. Sandbox testing prevents broken directories or exposed accounts from causing client downtime. For production communities with constant registrations, purchasing an official license is best for automatic updates and direct developer support.
