EDD Purchase Limit Addon v1.3.1

EDD Purchase Limit Addon adds purchase caps to Easy Digital Downloads for store owners who need scarcity and fair use. By default, EDD allows unlimited repeat purchases of the same download, which causes abuse with licenses, tickets and one time offers. This addon blocks extra add to cart attempts and shows a clear message, instead of relying on manual refunds or custom code.

You can use it to run ticket stores, coaching booking sites, membership libraries, license shops and freebie funnels with controlled access. Set one purchase per customer for a starter pack, three total sales for a discounted bundle, or one claim per month for resource packs. It works inside the download edit screen and respects EDD variable pricing tiers and logged in purchase history, so daily tasks like limiting reclaims and protecting promo products stay simple.

EDD Purchase Limit Addon Key Features

• Per-Product Purchase Limits: Set a different cap for each download directly from the EDD edit screen.
• Global Store Limits: Restrict total sales across all customers for limited licenses or capped inventory.
• Per-User Purchase Caps: Stop a single account from rebuying or reclaiming the same product repeatedly.
• Lifetime Purchase Control: Limit a product to one purchase per customer for the life of the store.
• Time Based Restrictions: Allow repeat buying only after a set window, such as once per week or month.
• Custom Restriction Messages: Display a clear branded notice when a buyer reaches the allowed limit.
• Cart Level Validation: Checks limits on add to cart and quantity changes before checkout starts.
• Logged In History Checks: Uses past purchase records to enforce limits reliably for registered buyers.
• Variable Pricing Support: Works with EDD price tiers so limits apply correctly to different options.

Download Latest GPL Version of EDD Purchase Limit Addon

Use this GPL copy to test purchase caps in a staging site before touching live sales. Try per product limits, global stock caps, time windows and custom messages with different user accounts, then check cart validation and checkout blocking. Sandbox testing prevents failed payments and angry buyers, while an official license remains the right choice for live stores needing updates and support.
