Directorist Search Alert v1.0.4

Directorist Search Alert is a focused add-on for the Directorist directory plugin that lets visitors save their search filters and get notified by email when a matching listing is published. It solves the problem of lost repeat traffic when users never return to check for new posts. Instead of relying on manual newsletters, custom code, or external automation tools, site owners get a built in retention system tied directly to listing publish actions.

You can use it to run property portals where renters track houses by location and price, job boards where candidates follow new openings by category, car marketplaces filtered by model and budget, or local service directories with frequent posts. It works directly with Directorist search, categories, locations, price sliders, custom fields and tags, plus the Directorist user dashboard for management. Day to day, owners publish listings as normal while subscribers manage, pause or delete alerts themselves without support help.

Directorist Search Alert Key Features

• Save Search Option: Adds a Save this search or Create Alert button directly on Directorist search results pages.
• Full Filter Preservation: Stores the complete query including keyword, category, location, tags, price range and custom fields.
• Automatic Match Detection: Checks new listings against saved criteria when they are published, with no manual work required.
• Instant Email Notifications: Sends subscribers an email with listing details and a direct link when a match is found.
• Subscriber Alert Dashboard: Lets logged in users view, pause or delete their saved alerts from their account area.
• Customizable Email Layout: Uses a clean template with title, excerpt, image and URL that matches your directory styling.
• Logged In User System: Ties alerts to user accounts to keep the database clean and block anonymous bot signups.
• Lightweight Performance: Adds only a small database entry per alert and avoids heavy frontend scripts that slow search.
• Native Directorist Integration: Works with existing Directorist hooks and search, with no external API or service to connect.

Download Latest GPL Version of Directorist Search Alert

Use the GPL files to test alert matching and email delivery in a staging site before going live. Create sample searches with categories, locations and price filters, then publish test listings to confirm notifications trigger correctly and links resolve. This type of sandbox testing prevents broken alerts, spam complaints or mail delivery issues on a live client directory. For production use with automatic updates and official help, purchasing a valid license is the correct choice.
