BuddyPress Profile Data Moderator v1.0.5

BuddyPress Profile Data Moderator controls how profile edits go live on BuddyPress communities. By default, member changes to names, bios, links and custom fields publish instantly, which invites spam links, fake details and inappropriate language. This plugin holds selected field updates for review, so moderators can check each submission before it appears publicly. It replaces constant manual policing and rollbacks with a simple approval workflow.

You can use it to run a trusted niche network, professional association, alumni directory, dating community or paid membership site where profile accuracy matters. Keep website URLs, biographies and business listings under moderation while letting simple fields like interests update instantly. It fits into daily work with BuddyPress profiles, member directories and search, plus email alerts that keep admins and members informed. Ideal when you want clean listings without checking every profile by hand each day.

BuddyPress Profile Data Moderator Key Features

• Moderation Queue: Holds edited fields as pending entries until reviewed, keeping old approved data public in the meantime.
• Side By Side Comparison: Shows previous value next to proposed value to quickly spot added links or text changes.
• Approve, Reject or Edit: Accept submissions as is, decline with a reason, or correct the text before approval.
• Selective Field Control: Choose specific field groups or individual fields to moderate while others update instantly.
• Admin Notifications: Alerts site managers when new profile edits are waiting for review.
• Member Status Updates: Informs members when their change is approved or rejected to reduce confusion.
• Safe Public Display: Prevents questionable edits from appearing in profiles or member directories before approval.
• BuddyPress Compatibility: Works with native profile structure so approved data displays and searches normally.
• Rejection Log: Keeps a record of declined changes to help identify repeat spam or policy violations.

Download Latest GPL Version of BuddyPress Profile Data Moderator

Use the GPL package to test the full review workflow in a safe staging copy with BuddyPress installed. Submit test profile edits as a dummy member, check the pending queue, compare old and new values, try approve, reject and edit actions, and confirm email notices and directory display. Staging tests prevent member confusion and downtime on live communities. For production client sites, an official license is the correct choice for updates and support.
